How these jewellery brand names are built

This generator draws from 166 hand-picked words in 7 lists and uses 12 naming patterns, plus 5 more that wrap around a keyword you type. The patterns can combine into up to 36,266 different names before filters. Every name in the list shows the pattern behind it, so you can see why it reads the way it does.

Naming guide for your jewellery brand

A jewellery name is printed small: on a card behind a ring, a box lid, a stamp on the clasp. Short names of one or two words read best at that size, and they look cleaner in lowercase on a minimal box. The longest-name filter is there for exactly this.

Think about what the name promises. A stone or a metal word suggests a particular product, and a maker word such as metalworks or goldsmiths suggests craft. A first name suggests a person, which is what many buyers look for in handmade work. Elegant names suit fine and bridal pieces, rustic names suit silver and stone, and modern names suit clean geometric pieces.

If you expect to move between metals or styles, keep to a name that does not mention one. A name built around a gem word is easy to remember but limits you to that gem. A name built around a feeling or a first name will not age out of a collection.

    Questions

Should I use my own name as the brand?

Many handmade jewellers do, and buyers like to know a real person is behind the work. A brand name is easier to grow beyond you. The generator offers both so you can compare.

Do names with a stone or a metal limit what I can sell?

In practice yes. Customers may expect that stone or metal. A maker word or a feeling word is more flexible if your range changes.

Is a name that includes a gem name safe to use?

Gem names are common words, so many shops use them. You must check for conflicts yourself, in your business register, in trademark registers and on the marketplaces and social networks you sell on.

Can I get shorter names for a stamp or a tag?

Yes. Set Longest name to 10 characters and Number of words to 1 or 2. The one-word blends and the short first-name names come up most.
